I wish, I was a Sindhi residing in Indore. There are numerous advantages of being a Sindhi and that too in Indore. My complexion also makes me eligible for becoming a proud Sindhi. I love eating papad also. After reading and hearing about numerous genuine success stories of Sindhis , I plan to adopt Sindhi culture and asssociate with Sindhu Society

I am from a place very near to so called world capital of Sindhi’s. The Sindhi world capital is called ‘Bairagarh’ or ‘Sant Hirdaram Nagar’. It is a modern suburb of Bhopal. I have heard that Sindhi saint ‘Sant Hirdaram’ after whose name ‘Sant Hirdaram Nagar’ is named, passed away in the month of January. Help all, Lord Jhule Lal.

Some of my best friends have always been Sindhis. Tilwanis , Ochanis , Aswanis , Advanis to name a few , who always influenced my life. Some of my teachers, professors and many of my bosses have been Sindhis. There is a show being aired on ‘Zee News’ channel these days which is called ‘Hum Log’. This week the host of the show, Abhinav Chaturvedi aka ‘Nanhe’ of old DD serial ‘Hum Log’ visited Bairagarh Textile Market. The president of the merchant association was a ‘definitely Sindhi’. He said many golden words. Ones those caught my attention were these “We, ‘the Sindhis’ always believed in hard work. We may be making losses in our businesses initially but we never give up. We are real workaholics and will try our level best to make our business a success on the basis of sheer hard work.”

Inspiring, isn’t it?

Some of the traits you need to carry to become a true Sindhi:

-Dress yourselves in White and White (Kurta and Pajama).
-Pajamas should at least be three feet wide.
-Kurta should have golden buttons. Number of buttons? Minimum four.
-Wear white Sandals.
-Wear a neck chain, should appear like a boundary wall railing in shape. Weight should be around 100 grams.
-Wear bracelet in both wrists, made of gold of course.
-Wear 10 golden rings in 10 fingers. Only hand fingers will suffice need not go for leg fingers.
-Let everyone see at least 3 chest hairs. In short, keep top two Kurta buttons open.
-Apply Sandal talcum powder. Must have been bought from Bairagarh or Sindhi Colony.
-Hairs should be easily visible coming out of body vents, oops I mean ears and nose and …No not from eyes!!!
-Motto of life ‘Apna Sapna Money Money’.

I love Sindhis and more importantly Sindhans. I here by declare that from today onwards I should legally be recognized as ‘ Thadda Mal Guptani’ . I make myself the part of this great "*ni" fraternity. I plan to settle down in Bombay’s Ulhas Nagar to become a member of USA (Ulhas nagar Sindhi Association) or the utopic Bairagarh. Being a 'Baniya' myself, I forsee my smooth and quick transition towards new avtar.
